Google Ads MCP and Meta Ads MCP server
Ads Connector is a remote MCP server that lets Claude, ChatGPT, Codex and other AI clients read and manage Google Ads and Meta Ads (Facebook and Instagram). Sign in with Google, connect your accounts, paste one URL into your AI client and start asking.
What a Google Ads and Meta Ads MCP server does
MCP (Model Context Protocol) is an open standard, introduced by Anthropic in November 2024, that lets AI apps call external tools. An ads MCP server exposes your accounts as tools: reports, search terms, keywords, budgets, bidding, ads, ad sets and insights. Your assistant picks the right tool, gets real data back and answers with your numbers.
Ads Connector hosts that server at https://ads-connector.com/mcp, so there is nothing to install. The same connection also covers ChatGPT Ads, Google Analytics 4, Search Console and Google Tag Manager.
Google Ads MCP tools
The Google Ads tools cover reports, search terms, wasted spend, keywords and negatives, budgets, bidding, RSA ads, sitelinks, Search campaign creation and any read-only GAQL query.
- Find search terms that spent money without converting in the last 30 days and suggest negatives.
- Which keywords have high spend and a low conversion rate? Suggest bid or match type changes.
- Write three new RSA headlines for the ad group with the lowest CTR.
- Run a GAQL query for impressions, clicks and cost by device for the last 7 days.
Meta Ads MCP tools (Facebook and Instagram)
The Meta Ads tools cover campaign, ad set and ad management, insights with breakdowns such as age, placement or platform, creative fatigue checks and image campaign creation.
- Show spend, results and cost per result by ad set for the last 14 days, broken down by placement.
- Which ads show creative fatigue? Look at frequency and CTR over time.
- Create a paused image campaign for our spring sale with this image and two headline options.
- Compare cost per conversion on Meta and Google Ads for last month.
How to connect the server
Setup takes a few minutes and does not need a Google Ads developer token or a Meta app of your own. The AI client signs in with OAuth 2.1 and never sees your passwords.
- Sign in with Google at ads-connector.com and connect Google Ads and Meta Ads.
- Claude web or desktop: Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector, paste https://ads-connector.com/mcp.
- Claude Code:
claude mcp add --transport http ads https://ads-connector.com/mcp. - Codex: add
[mcp_servers.ads]andurl = "https://ads-connector.com/mcp"to~/.codex/config.toml, then runcodex mcp login ads. - ChatGPT: add the URL as a developer mode connector. Cursor and Gemini CLI also work.
Built-in safety for live ad accounts
Everything new is created paused, so a draft campaign or ad cannot spend until you decide it should. Launching, raising budgets or bids, publishing and deleting first return a preview of the exact change, and nothing happens until you confirm it in the chat.
Every change is logged. Ad platform credentials are encrypted with AES-256-GCM and stored on Cloudflare.
